During the Mughal period, misfortune befell our Annamalaiyar temple.A Mughal king who came to Thiruvannamalai during the Mughal period intended to demolish the temple.Then near the temple, five Shiva devotees worshiped a bull and carried it on a platter.The king asked why you worship the bulls we cut and eat on your head?For that the five it is the vehicle of Lord Shiva. "The five who heard the noise immediately went there and saw 15-year-old Balagan.

When the five were ridiculed as "little Balagana devotees", a tiger from a nearby forest tried to attack them.

It was small balagan who defeated the tiger by chanting the Namasivaya mantra and saved them.

The five took small balagan away saying what had happened.Arriving at the Annamalaiyar temple, the king saw them and told them to combine the two pieces of the cow and give them life.

Immediately small Boy went to the headquarters of annamalaiyar temple and recited the Namasivaya mantra and attached the cow to life.

The Mughal emperor refused to believe it, saying that you were doing something silly.

Many varieties of flowers filled the plate.

Seeing this, the five and Balagan rejoiced at Om Namasivaya Annamalai as Arogara.The king who did not believe all this was a match at last. If you look at our great Nandi and give life to this lifeless Nandi and change your legs and sit down, I will worship your Annamalaiyar and leave the attempt to destroy this temple and the looted jewelery to the Annamalaiyar.
