From the luminous Kayalaya hill were born a woman named "Maya who came like lightning", a son named "Surabathman, Kajamukasuran, Singamukasuran" and a woman named "Kajamuki" who were cruel to a Rishi.


These three male monsters were destroyed by Lord Murugan. Kajamuki was the younger sister of Surapadman who was killed by Lord Murugan.

Gajamuki joins the sage Durvasa and gives birth to two mighty monsters, Mahi and Vadapi, the archers. These two demons tormented gods and humans.

Vilvalan , Vadapi began to persecute Sage Agathiyar. This enraged Agathiyar and the archer destroyed Vilvalan.

Vadapi, who lost his brother, became very angry. He repented to Lord Shiva in solitude and received great blessings. With that strength, the government started Ratnapuri, located in the heart of the southern coast.

Later he married Sokka Kanni, the daughter of Mayan. Asura Guru Sukrasari was the assistant for all the things that Vadapi does.Vadapi's wife Sokkak Kanni gave birth to four children, Kamban, Kajamugan, Kumban and Sambumal.
