He stayed at the Adhi Arunachaleswarar Temple in Adi Annamalai on the Kiriwala Path of Thiruvannamalai.

Since it was the month of March, it was customary for women living in the Thiruvannamalai area to bathe in the pool and fast.

In order for women to sing praises to Lord Shiva, Manikkavasaka wrote songs for Thiruvembavai.

In order to realize that Lord Shiva has become an invisible mountain in Thiruvannamalai,He sang,'A glorious torch without beginning and end.{ in Tamil -- Adhiyum andhamum illa arutperum jothiye --'ஆதியும் அந்தமும் இல்லா அருட்பெரும் ஜோதியே' }.

Emperuman Eesan-{Shiva } was also very happy to hear those songs. Thiruvembavai melted the heart in the song and gave the scene to the manikkavasagar.Currently, a temple has been built on the site for the manikkavasagar.
